| Why? | This course is intended to fulfill the liberal arts language requirement. Emphasis is cross-cultural and conversational. Vocabulary and awareness of Spanish-speaking cultures are expanded. |
| Content: | Hispanic culture through readings, including views on education, social customs and cultural traditions, Hispanic literature, review of grammar. |
| Format: | Lecture/discussion with Spanish conversation. |
| Evaluation: | Objective exams, oral quizzes and reports, compositions. |
| Prerequisites: | Spanish 112, two units of high school Spanish or departmental consent required. |
| Recommended for: | Area studies majors, international business and cultural anthropology majors. |
