| Why? | Students with high school German or others with an elementary knowledge of German can consolidate a functional competency and gain a better understanding of the modern German speaking world through reading, video tapes and discussion. |
| Content: | General grammar review; exploration of modern German culture through discussions of readings, films and video materials. |
| Format: | Lecture/discussion. |
| Evaluation: | Tests and written assignments. |
| Prerequisites: | For Transfer students with the college German equivalent of 112, two years or more of high school German or the equivalent. |
| Required for: | Will count toward the LAS foreign language requirement, a minor or a major in German. |
| Recommended for: | Students wishing to improve skills in German and those interested in the culture of modern German speaking areas. Students wishing to complete their foreign language requirement. |
