GERMAN 220: Continuing German (5)
     
Why? Students with high school German or others with an elementary knowledge of German can consolidate a functional competency and gain a better understanding of the modern German speaking world through reading, video tapes and discussion.
Content: General grammar review; exploration of modern German culture through discussions of readings, films and video materials.
Format: Lecture/discussion.
Evaluation: Tests and written assignments.
Prerequisites: For Transfer students with the college German equivalent of 112, two years or more of high school German or the equivalent.
Required for: Will count toward the LAS foreign language requirement, a minor or a major in German.
Recommended for: Students wishing to improve skills in German and those interested in the culture of modern German speaking areas. Students wishing to complete their foreign language requirement.
