ECONOMICS 250: Entrepreneurship & Personal Enterprise (3)
   
Why? Provides an understanding of the attributes and personal qualities that traditionally have characterized the entrepreneur (initiative, investment, innovation, commitment, and risk-taking) can be learned by anyone who seeks personal intellectual fulfillment and/or business success. Presents entrepreneurial principles and processes which are invaluable for anyone in any discipline or profession.
Content: Entrepreneurial and economic history; psychological, sociological and philosophical perspectives of entrepreneurship; applying entrepreneurial principles in the arts, engineering, health care and business; methods and types of ownership and learning entrepreneurial skills.
Format: Lecture, participative exercise, guest presenter, and participative discussions.
Evaluation: Objective exams and preparation of personal/career plan.
Recommended for: Students interested in learning how to use entrepreneurship in their profession or discipline.
