The Associate of Arts degree through Fairmount College of Liberal
Arts and Sciences is now available.
1) complete a minimum of 65 credit hours with 15 hours in residency and 50 of the 65 hours in liberal arts and sciences departments (all general education approved classes in fine arts and economics count as LAS)
2) complete the UNIVERSITY GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM (42 credit hours):
Basic Skills: 12 hours (English 101 or 100, 102, Comm 111, Math 111 or higher course requiring it as prerequisite, or 131---all at C or better grade)
Fine Arts/Humanities: 12 hours (include one fine arts discipline two humanities disciplines and a second course in one discipline)
Social/Behavioral Sciences: 9 hours (include two disciplines and a second course in one discipline)
Natural Sciences/Mathematics: 9 hours (include two disciplines and a second course in one discipline)
3) enroll in one of Wichita State Universitys six degree granting colleges: Business, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, Health Professions, Liberal Arts and Sciences
4) maintain a minimum 2.0 Wichita State University and cumulative grade point average
